We Need Your Help!
UPDATE: March 12, 2026
Old Town Tavern is continuing to work with the City of Scottsdale regarding the approval of our expansion at 7330 E. Main Street in Old Town Scottsdale. While the Planning & Zoning Commission approved the expansion, the City Council has raised questions related to parking requirements and permits for live entertainment. Because of this, the final approval of our premises extension is still pending.
Our team is actively working through the process and will share the date of the next City Council meeting as soon as it is announced.
For those who would like more details, our attorney has submitted a formal letter to the City explaining the situation, the history of Old Town Tavern, and the updated plans. You can download and read the letter in the column area of this page.

Dear OTT Family,
We’re reaching out to share an important update about Old Town Tavern.
The Scottsdale Planning and Zoning Commission has approved our expansion into the adjoining space at our new location:
7330 E. Scottsdale Mall
Scottsdale, AZ
However, during the February 10 City Council meeting, the Council declined to approve the final extension of our premises. The primary issue cited was a requirement that we lease forty parking spaces on a monthly basis, at an estimated cost of approximately $72,000 per year, in addition to our normal operating expenses.
In the same meeting, the Council also did not approve our request to continue live entertainment inside the new space, effectively placing a stop on musicians performing at the establishment — a 51-year tradition in this location dating back to the early 1970s.
As a result, our expansion has been paused, and our ability to continue nightly live music inside the new space has been directly impacted.
Old Town Tavern has long been part of the Old Town community — supporting local musicians, providing jobs, welcoming residents and visitors, and contributing to the local economy.
We respectfully ask for your support.
